The aim of the school is to educate pupils of all abilities, each to a maximum of his/her potential, so that every boy and girl can enjoy a high quality of life and contribute responsibly and fully to the life of the community
The school is proud of its tradition of caring for pupils as individuals. There are over 1500 pupils on roll and we have a thriving sixth form of over 200. All of our students achieve a place at university, in higher education or a work placement.
Highly qualified specialist staff have been recruited in all subject areas and all departments are suited.
Examination results at all levels are among the best in Liverpool and we aim to offer each pupil as many opportunities as possible both inside and outside the classroom.
